What effect will Obamacare have on U.S. per capita health insurance costs?

Note that my question is "per capita" -- If you take the total payments toward health insurance in the U.S., and divide by the total number of people covered by health insurance...

How has that "average per capita cost" of health insurance changed in the past five or ten years, and how is it likely to change over the next 5 or 10 years?

thanks for your answers

It's going to go up. A lot.

People who don't currently go to the ER with a hangnail, will start going, to get their "free" healthcare.

Health care per capita in the USA, has risen MUCH MUCH faster than the rate of inflation over the past ten years, and it's going to keep increasing, logrithmically, as long as we keep increasing the disconnect between the person ordering the medical care services, and the entity PAYING for the services.

When money is no object, because YOU aren't paying the bill, then they sky is the limit! Or, “If you think it’s expensive now, just wait until it is free”.

The per capita cost has increased each year for the past five or ten years, and will continue to do so. That is because 0bamacare did nothing to curb the cost of medical services, and actually added services that insurance was required to cover so the cost of insurance has been and will continue to increase substantially.

It'll increase. Each individual's cost has already increase 20-25% over the past four years. Anyway you slice it, there are more benefits that are required to be paid out and no cost protection measures on the actual cost of care. Therefore, it has and will continue to increase.
