Plead not guilty and show them " i have a license that is valid till 31 october 2010 "

The above is confusing as you have said " it is not my tv its my dad and its not my house i was there"

Why give your details then?

Sue for what?

The UK law is very clear on this, If your have ANY equipment capable of receiving a BBC broadcast in your home, you must have a TV license.

If its not your house or your TV then your safe. If this is some elaborate workaround then save yourself the bother, the court is not stupid, they have seen it all before and will not appreciate the deception, admit guilt, take your slap on the wrists and pay the fine.

If your innocent, don't worry dude, but they will go after the tv owner.

imho i think you are worrying about nothing as the courts have other serious crime to deal with as when i was at court for another matter a girl went up before me for the same thing tv licence she plead guilty and was fine about 100 pounds and told to buy a tv licence that was it

what is the worse that can happen and deal with it that way, also take your tv licence you now have along to the court as this will be good in the judges eyes and maybe you will just get a slap on the wrist and sent home ,. as for suing i would wait and see what happens at court first .

thanks

Sue for what? You should tell them that it was not your house. You should have done that in the first place. Contact them, explain the situation.
